
MADELINE RITTER

Madeline Ritter is a fully qualified lawyer with a professional focus on copyright law. She founded tanz performance köln, an international production and performance platform for contemporary dance in 1989 and was its artistic director and managing director until 2004. She has initiated many European networks, been the director of inter-disciplinary festivals and produced international co-productions in the field of dance, media and performance art. From 1993 to 1998, she was the founding and artistic director of Pictures of (e)Motion, an international festival for dance, film and new media at the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn. She was curator of the dance programme at Theater Heilbronn from 2003 to 2008. She was appointed project director of Tanzplan Deutschland by the German Kulturstiftung des Bundes (Federal Cultural Foundation) in 2004. Her many years of experience of working with artists, institutions and sponsors formed the basis of a partnership-based promotional strategy that was rolled out, under her guidance, in nine cities and with the support of many project partners. Tanzplan Deutschland mobilised 21 million euros for dance and became a model project internationally. When the Tanzplan Deutschland project came to an end in 2011, she founded the non-for-profit company DIEHL+RITTER with Ingo Diehl in order to manage, among other initiatives, the Kulturstiftung des Bundes new dance funds: TANZFONDS ERBE (Dance Heritage Fund) and TANZFONDS PARTNER (Dance Partners Fund). In 2015 she launched DANCE ON, a Europe-wide initiative for dancers over 40. She was also an expert of the initiative group of the support programme TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund, which DIEHL+RITTER has been supporting together with the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland since 2017. She teaches culture management at various European universities and is a certified coach and facilitator of processes of change. Madeline Ritter is involved as a member of various committees, among others the Supervisory Board of Kulturfabrik Kampnagel in Hamburg, the board of trustees of the Kulturfonds (Cultural Fund) Frankfurt RheinMain and the Advisory Board of Deutsches Tanzarchiv Köln.From 2014 to 2019 she was Deputy Chairperson of the Pina Bausch Foundation, since 2020, she is Chair of the Advisory Board. ISA KÖHLER
Production management Dance On
Isa Köhler studied dance at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and completed a placement at the Martha Graham School in New York, followed by a master's degree in theatre studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum. She was project manager at PACT Zollverein Essen from 2009 to 2012, having already worked at the RuhrTriennale, Favoriten Festival and the International Dance Festival NRW Pina Bausch. In 2011/12 she taught dance studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum and began blogging for the online arts magazine ignant.de, which she continued to do for more than two years. From 2013 to 2016 she worked as a production manager for the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and the Pina Bausch Foundation, while also managing international PR for the Bochum-based record label Denovali Records. Together with the photographer Dirk Rose, she volunteered as manager of Walzwerk Null, a project space for photography and video art in Düsseldorf. In May 2016, Isa Köhler took over as festival producer of Tanz im August at HAU Hebbel am Ufer In Berlin. She is a member of the Advisory Committee of the international performing arts network IETM and on the jury of the Spitzenförderung Tanz funding programme of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia. In 2021, she took over as production manager of the Dance On Ensemble at DIEHL+RITTER.

Pauline Stöhr studied classical and contemporary dance at the
Palucca Schule Dresden- Hochschule für Tanz and at the "Musik und Kunst" Private University Vienna. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance dancer, amongst others with Ivo Dimchev, Doris Uhlich, Henri Hüster, Vasna Aguilar, and has toured Europe with various dance and theatre productions. In 2017 she received the DanceWeb scholarship at IMPULSTANZ. She joined the team as a production assistant in April 2021.

Christian Koch

Christian Koch studied German and history. After working as a bookseller and magazine editor, he took over the administrative management of the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart in 2006. From 2009 to 2012 he was managing director of PACT Zollverein Essen. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as financial administrator for the festival "Pina 40 - 40 Years of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch". Afterwards, 2014 - 2016, he was managing director of the Pina Bausch Foundation, finally working for the city of Wuppertal as project manager for the project "Pina Bausch Zentrum" until 2018. From 2019 to 2021, together with Gudrun Sommer, he directed the Duisburg Film Week and doxs! documentaries for children and young people. For 20 years, he has worked in various constellations and functions with artists and artist collectives as well as curating art projects, authoring and editing publications on art, cultural studies and politics. Since 2012, he has held teaching positions in the field of cultural management at the University of Witten/Herdecke and the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen. He joined the Diehl+Ritter team in April 2021 in the area of financial management and controlling.

CLAUDIA ENGELS
Project Coordination Promotion Fund TANZPAKT RECONNECT
Claudia Engels studied art education in Maastricht, ethnology in Berlin and visual anthropology, with a focus on ethnographic documentary film, in Manchester. In recent years she has worked as a project manager in Berlin. At the büro für kulturelle angelegenheiten she organised various events at the interface of art, education, politics and science from 2013 to 2015 for the Federal Cultural Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal Agency for Civic Education, among others. From 2015 to 2019 she was project coordinator of the pioneering project RomArchive - Digital Archive of the Sinti and Roma. She was responsible for translations, editing and proofreading in close cooperation with the curators of the various archive sections. Since August 2020 she has been working for DIEHL+RITTER in the project management of the special programme TANZPAKT RECONNECT.

JOHANNA LÜHR

Johanna Lühr studied German and Romance studies with a double degree at the universities of Bonn and Florence. From 2004 to 2005 she attended the School of Journalism in Berlin (BJS) and subsequently worked as a freelance journalist for various magazines, newspapers and radio. From 2009 to 2019 she was responsible for press communications at the Schaubühne Berlin. She is co-editor and editor-in-chief of the independent travel magazine Il Paradiso. Since January 2020 she is responsible for communications at DIEHL+RITTER.
